K100D Shake Reduction Now Quoted As 2 To 3.5 Stops (Maybe 4)

Not content to coast to the release date with the specs they announced in May, Pentax has revealed that recent firmware tweaking for the soon to ship K100D has yielded the possibility of an additional stop and a half of Shake Reduction latitude. That means, under certain conditions, if you shot hand held at 1/30s, the Shake Reduction would possibly give you an image as vibration free as if you had shot at 1/125s. If this hasn't got you itching for the K100D and a telephoto lens, I don't know what will.
