Pentax "Test Drive" Promotion in the U.S.

I'm of the strong opinion that if anyone I know may be on the fence about buying a new Pentax DSLR, they shouldn't make up their minds for another entry level DSLR camera until they've at least held the K100D in their hands, compared to the competition. Admittedly, I'm biased, but I've seen it work out personally that holding the camera tends to cinch the deal in Pentax's favor a lot of the time. It's a comfy camera. However, with Nikon, Canon, Sony and Olympus all being so prominent in stores, shopping a demoing cameras is a distracting experience. What happens to people who only want to handle one or two cameras and the sales person is foisting the other big name brands first? So Pentax is putting up some marketing dollars to woo more people into testing out their cameras. It's worth a shot:


Pentax is promoting a contest for a Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV in the USA from September until the end of the year for customers who visit a Pentax dealer, complete a proper demo of any new Pentax K series camera, which includes a short video tutorial (also viewable online at pentaxslr.com/testdrive), and then visit the website to register. It's hardly difficult to enter the contest for Pentax owners, although it's obviously an incentive meant for people comparing the Pentax line-up against other manufacturers.
