DC Watch Impress Looks At K10D, Again.

At some point, I'm going to have to just step back and disengage from every review. DC Watch Impress, who've touted the K10D as much as anyone could, have put out another minor dissection of the camera. They have some comparison pictures with Canon, Nikon, and Sony cameras, as well as a look at White Balance controls and RAW settings.

I think they're a little sour on how the front+rear command dials and the viewfinder's manual exposure meter are a little inconsistent with previous Pentax cameras. You'll notice in the picture below that the display reads the settings as one stop underexposed, with 1/3 EV markings as little bars. This seems clear to me, but the reviewer prefers seeing "-1" instead. These sorts of opinions aren't exactly a fly in the ointment for everybody, but I think maybe a little more attention should be paid to reviewing image quality with some strong methodology, which is what I'm hoping we'll see soon.

That doll is sort of creepy, too.
